2000s

Curiosity came first

Curiosity showed up long before I chose a career. My dad, an architect, believed the best way to learn was by exploring. Whether it was a new computer or a new gadget, he gave me the freedom to experiment. That habit of asking "How does this work?" has stayed with me ever since.

2022

Learning to build

I graduated with a B.Tech in Information Technology from NIT Srinagar. Engineering taught me how to build software, but it also made me realize that I was equally interested in the decisions that happen before development begins.

2023

Building, then questioning

I joined Samsung SDS as an Robotic Process Automation Developer, designing automation workflows for enterprise systems. While I enjoyed solving technical problems, I kept wondering:

Who designs these interfaces? Why are they designed this way? and How do teams know what users actually need? gradually shifted my interest from implementation to product thinking.

That same year, travelling internationally for the first time and exploring new places broadened the way I observed people, cultures, and everyday experiences.

2024

Understanding people

After stepping away from my corporate role, I explored different paths — including building a small business of my own. Working directly with people changed how I thought about products and experiences.

Around this time, I discovered Product Design. It combined everything I enjoyed: technology, creativity, research, and problem solving.

2025

Choosing design

I committed fully to the transition into Product Design. I secured AIR 48 in the M.Des (Information Design) entrance examination at NID, completed my first UI/UX internship, and began building products through a more structured design process.

More importantly, I developed a way of thinking that starts with understanding people before designing solutions.

2026

Still learning, still building

Today, I'm designing products around problems that genuinely matter to me. Every project is an opportunity to combine research, systems thinking, and engineering into experiences that feel simple, intuitive, and meaningful.

I'm still early in my journey, but the curiosity that first drew me toward computers continues to shape how I approach design today.
